CMU ranks 2nd in RAATI

The Central Mindanao University Reserved Officers Training Corps (ROTC) Unit ranked 2nd as it underwent the Regional Annual Administrative Tactical Inspection (RAATI) on February 4, 2013 at the University Parade Ground.

RAATI aimed to test military skills and intellect of ROTC trainees through practical and written exams covering the entire ROTC instruction modules. This initiative was a move to uplift the ROTC program which highlights citizenship trainings and instills patriotism, moral virtues, respect for the rights of civilians and adherence to the constitution.

The RAATI is conducted yearly evaluating all private and state universities and colleges capable of offering ROTC based on strength classified as battalion and brigade. Schools evaluated this year included the Bukidnon State University, Mindanao University of Science and Technology, Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology, Mindanao State University – Marawi and Central Mindanao University. The RAATI evaluation team was led by Col Ramon B Florece INF (GSC) PA. The CMU ROTC Unit was assessed in various RAATI activities comprising the method of instruction/operation order, small unit tactics and map reading, drills and ceremonies/arrival honor, disaster relief and rescue operation, administration and management, cal 45/m16 rifle 5.56mm Assembly/disassembly, and theoretical exam. Winners were MSU-IIT (first), CMU (second) and MUST (third). This annual activity was well-participated by the RAATI Team as evaluators, CMU Officials, CMU ROTC Unit, some faculty and staff as well as students (RGPadoginog/CMU-PRIO).
