Available Scholarships for School Year 2013 – 2014

Academic Scholarships

  • Entrance Scholarship (Full/Partial) – based on the result of the CMU College Admission Test conducted by the CMU Board of Examiners
  • Honors Scholarship – scholarship for high school graduates with honors from a class of at    least 30 students: Valedictorian & Salutatorian
  • University Scholarship – granted to students with a weighted average grade of 1.0 to 1.45, enrolled with at least 18 units and without a failing grade during the preceding semester.  Entitlements are free school fees and a monthly stipend.
  • College Scholarship – granted to students with a weighted average grade of 1.46 to 1.75, enrolled without a failing grade during the preceding semester. Entitlements include free school fees and a monthly stipend.
  • CMU Student Emergency Loan Fund (CMUSELF) – granted to students with a weighted average grade of 1.76 to 2.00, enrolled with at least 18 units and without a failing grade during the preceding semester. Entitlement includes free school fees.
  • Socio-Cultural/Athletic Scholarship – granted to students having special talents in the performing arts (dancing, etc) and sports; enrolled with a regular load and without a failing grade during the preceding semester. Entitlements include free school fees.
  • Socialized Tuition Fee Scheme – granted to students from low-income families.
  • Leadership Grant – is granted to the following: Chairman of the CMU Supreme Student Council (SSC) Other elected officers of the SSC; College Council Chairman; Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editor and Managing Editor of the Central Post
  • Student Assistantship – granted to students who are working on a part-time basis in      selected offices of the University. They are required to work at most 10 hours per week at the rate of Php 10.00/hr.

Non Academic scholarships

  • CHED-Full and Half Merit – This program is for poor but deserving Filipino students whose General Weight Average (GWA) is 90% and above. Beneficiaries under this program can enroll in any government or private college/university. Incentives includes Php 15, 000 per semester.
  • CHED-Tulong Dunong – This program is for poor but deserving Filipino students whose General Weight Average (GWA) is 85-89% and above. Beneficiaries under this program can enroll in any government or private higher institutions. It also includes Person with Disabilities (PWDs). Incentives include Php 7,500 per semester. 
  • CHED– “One Town, One Scholar” Scholarship – This program is for poor but deserving Filipino students whose General Weight Average (GWA) is 80-84% and above. It is intended for the following: Members of cultural minority groups, members of the hill tribe, solo parent and their children, and senior citizens. Incentives includes Php 6,000 per semester.
  • CHED- Study Now Pay Later Program – This program is designated to promote the democratization of access to educational opportunities in the tertiary levels to poor but deserving students through financial assistance in the form of an educational loan. It is scheme that extends loan or credit to poor but deserving students to finish a college degree. Incentives include Php 7, 500 per semester.
