Dr. Marlene Atinyao, the overall coordinator, shared impressions on this year’s second batch of online accreditation by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) on July 19-21, 2023, via Zoom meeting.

To promote healthy eating habits and raise awareness about the importance of nutrition, Central Mindanao University celebrated this year’s nutrition month with a two-day series of activities organized by the Philippine Association Nutrition – Alpha Pi chapter (PAN-AP) in collaboration with the Nutrition Dietetics Society of the College of Human Ecology, on July 13-14, 2023.

Coritico, a young biologist who defied expectations to become the 2nd Outstanding Young Scientist of Central Mindanao University.

CMU recognized that the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) plays a vital role in ensuring academic excellence and facilitating a culture of quality assurance in Higher Education Institutions across the Philippines. Hence, CMU submitted to this year’s first batch of programs to undergo AACCUP online accreditation through a Zoom meeting on July 17–19, 2023.

A two-day Gender Sensitivity Training (GST) was facilitated by the University Center for Gender and Development (UCGAD) for the employees and stakeholders of the National Power Corporation-Watershed Management Division held at Pulangi Watershed Area Team (PULWAT) Training Center, Kiuntod, Camp-1, Maramag, Bukidnon, on June 29-30.

Central Mindanao University’s representatives, Dr. Raquelyn J. Dadang, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Melrose P. Condino, Director of Instruction, were among the distinguished attendees at the recently concluded International Conference on Academic Practice in Higher Education (ICAPHE 2023). The conference took place on June 30, 2023, at the Acacia Hotel Manila in Muntinlupa City, Philippines.

Penaso, a pure-blooded CMUan, one of the outstanding alumni, and a former Vice President for Academic Affairs of CMU, as a guest of honor on the 69th Commencement Exercises themed “Beyond National Border: Educating for Global Competence” at the University Convention Center, June 21–22, 2023.

Central Mindanao University received recognition during the 4th Regional Quality Awards Program in celebration of the 3rd National Higher Education Day and the 29th Founding Anniversary of CHED held at Apple Tree Resort, Opol, Cagayan de Oro City, on June 22, 2023.

Ushering a wave of change in the university’s identity, the Committee on Branding and Standardization of Signages finally launched the university’s visual identities in a special flag-raising ceremony on June 5, 2023, at the University Convention Center.

Academic honorees, including the university’s board examination top notchers, top performing programs, programs with 100% passing rate, outstanding student leaders and organizations, and student ambassadors for international relations, were recognized at the university recognition program on May 12, 2023 at the University Convention Center.
