NOTICE OF SEARCH FOR TWO PRIVATE SECTOR REPRESENTATIVES TO THE CENTRAL MINDANAO UNIVERSITY BOARD OF REGENTS

CRITERIA AND GUIDELINES for the 2022 Nomination/Application

A. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS AND/OR STANDARDS FOR PRIVATE SECTOR
REPRESENTATIVES (PSR)—Applicants/Nominees for Private Sector
Representatives (the Search is for two Private Sector Representatives) to the
Central Mindanao University Board of Regents must satisfy the following minimum
qualifications:

  1. Must be a Filipino citizen of legal age;
  2. Must be a resident of Bukidnon Province for at least six (6) months;
  3. Must be from an industry, business, or profession, preferably related to CMU’s
    mandate, providing employment opportunities to the graduates;
  4. Must have distinguished himself/herself in his/her profession or field of
    specialization which is within the mandate of the University,
  5. Must not in any way connected with the University and other government
    agencies and instrumentalities in any manner;
  6. Must not have been convicted of any administrative offense or/of any crime
    involving moral turpitude;
  7. Must possess linkages (local, national, as well as international) which may be
    harnessed for the realization of the vision, mission, goals, and objectives of the
    University.
  8. Must explicitly manifest availability of time and commitment to the service of
    CMU.
    Criteria for selecting the Private Sector Representative:
    (a) Prestige and Prominence (50%). – This can be gauged from the nominee’s
    /applicant’s accomplishments and achievements in the private sector as well as his/her
    reputation and past and current membership in civic, social, religious, and/or
    professional organizations. The Committee shall consider how the nominee/applicant
    can contribute to the prestige of the Governing Board.
    (b) Potential Contribution (50%). – This can be determined from the past and current
    achievements and leadership qualities of the nominee/applicant. The Committee shall
    carefully evaluate and look closely at the nominee’s/applicant’s expertise and
    accomplishments to determine if these are aligned with the mission, objectives, and
    endeavors of the SUC.

B. APPLICATION/NOMINATION REQUIREMENTS— Applicants/Nominees for the
position of Private Sector Representatives should provide all pertinent details, as
follows:

  1. Duly notarized application or nomination/application (with the conforme of the
    nominee);
  2. Curriculum Vitae of applicant/nominee with documents in support of data
    specified therein (e.g., academic records; past and current employment/service records; awards received, SEC Registration of companies owned by nominee; etc.)
  3. Original NBI Clearance or Regional Trial Court Clearance;
  4. Certificate of Employment stating nominee’s/ applicant’s present position in
    the private sector.
  5. Signed Commitment and Availability of the nominee/applicant to serve as
    Private Sector Representative.

Nominator/Applicant shall submit their nomination/application and all supporting
documents not later than October 17, 2022; 5:00 PM.
