Dr. Laureana M. Lingan, the Overall Coordinator of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) accreditation team, emphasized the significance of the ongoing assessment of Central Mindanao University’s (CMU) nine graduate programs during the opening meeting via Zoom on July 15, 2024.

Following thorough evaluation and validation of documents, the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities of the Philippines Inc. (AACCUP) accrediting team conveyed their insights and recommendations for CMU during the institutional accreditation (IA) survey visit held from January 29 to February 2, 2023.

On the last leg of the Institutional Accreditation, the AACCUP accreditors witnessed the words of affirmation by another partner LGU, the City of Valencia, through a testimonial dinner held at Brickhouse Kitchen, Bamboo Springs Park, Valencia City.

Local officials in Maramag recently hosted a testimonial dinner to express gratitude to the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) accreditors who assessed CMU as a whole educational institution, as the university aspires to achieve a higher level of institutional accreditation.

In its quest to provide the highest quality of education, promote an innovative culture and a flourishing academic community, Central Mindanao University submits itself to its second cycle of Institutional Accreditation (IA) survey visit to become a level IV accredited institution by Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) from January 29–February 2, 2024.

Dr. Marlene Atinyao, the overall coordinator, shared impressions on this year’s second batch of online accreditation by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) on July 19-21, 2023, via Zoom meeting.

CMU recognized that the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) plays a vital role in ensuring academic excellence and facilitating a culture of quality assurance in Higher Education Institutions across the Philippines. Hence, CMU submitted to this year’s first batch of programs to undergo AACCUP online accreditation through a Zoom meeting on July 17–19, 2023.

AACCUP accreditors commended the efforts of the CMU College of Arts and Sciences Local Task Force for the Level IV, Phase 2 (2nd cycle) of the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, and Level III, Phase 2 of the Bachelor of Arts in Sociology during the online accreditation visit last May 4 to 6.

As CMU continues to maintain its excellence through rigorous accreditation of academic programs, the College of Agriculture took the lead for this week’s AACCUP 4th Survey Phase 2, March 7-11 via Zoom.

For the past four years, Central Mindanao University has had two Level IV accredited programs, namely BS in Biology and BS in Mathematics. In 2021, despite the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, CMU took a great leap forward with eight new Level IV accredited status—the highest in years.
